It is well known and acknowledged how animals are increasingly becoming a source of comfort and companionship for elderly people, children as well as adults.
A huge part of these companionship animals come from Rescue Non-Profits Organizations as well as No-Kill Shelters.
There are accredited and/or well-known cats, horses, rabbits, dogs Non-Profit Organizations asking for volunteers.
These Organizations have performed all together thousands and thousands of visits bringing mental and emotional well-being to patients, children, elderly as well as the adult population.
Examples are Pet Partners and Alliance Therapy Dogs. Of course, you do not need to wait for enjoying companionship and mental well-being of caring for a vulnerable animal offering you affection.
Visit your local shelter and/or attend Animal Welfare Adoption events.
